The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and software development. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms that support our organization's data needs. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data integration techniques. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data infrastructure is robust, efficient, and secure. Your primary focus will be on developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing best practices for data management. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting data platform issues, as well as continuously improving the performance and scalability of our data systems. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you are passionate about data and have a proven track record of building and maintaining data platforms, we would love to hear from you.This role requires working from the company's office in Riyadh on certain occasions, collaborating closely with our teams and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines.Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.Implement robust data governance, security, and compliance standards.Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of data systems into AI and analytics workflows.Build APIs and cloud-based functions to expose data to internal and external platforms.Optimize data storage solutions to handle geospatial and large-scale datasets.Ensure high availability and reliability of data platforms through monitoring and automated solutions.Support analytics use cases, dashboards, and data exploration activities for business teams.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in building and maintaining modern data platforms (e.g., cloud-native, distributed systems).Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala, or Java.Expertise in SQL and database design (e.g., relational and NoSQL databases).Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tools like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.Strong understanding of data governance and security principles.Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).Familiarity with data visualization tools and frameworks.Preferred QualificationsExperience with geospatial data processing and tools (e.g., PostGIS, deck.gl).Knowledge of real-time data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).Familiarity with data science workflows and APIs for model integration.Certification in cloud services or data engineering technologies.What We OfferOpportunity to work on cutting-edge geospatial and AI solutions.Collaborative and innovative work environment.Competitive salary and benefits package.Professional development and training opportunities.A chance to make a real impact in the world through data-driven solutions.
