HVAC Technician

Roles and ResponsibilitiesHands-on experience in operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment, mainly in chillers, AHU, FCU, fans, pumps, DX units, HVAC panels, and controls.Hands-on experience in repairing and fault rectification of chillers, AHU, FCU, fans, pumps, VRF, DX units, HVAC panels, and controls along with copper brazing, refrigerant charging, compressor installation, and controls repair.Experience in the installation of DX units like split, package, ducted split, fridge, deep freezer, VRF, and water cooler along with copper brazing, refrigerant charging, testing, and commissioning.Experience in chilled water pipes, ducts, valves, and insulation.Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.Carry out minor electrical and plumbing maintenance work, such as repair or replacement of fixtures, including wall switches and outlets, ballast, incandescent and fluorescent tubes and bulbs, fuses, sockets, plumbing fixtures, and repairs, etc. by applying the right tools.Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to carry out repair, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance.Installation: Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems according to manufacturer specifications and building codes. Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, ductwork, and electrical wiring.Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Clean and replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and inspect systems for wear and tear.Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, identifying issues with components such as compressors, thermostats, and ducts. Repair or replace faulty parts and ensure systems operate efficiently.Customer Service: Communicate with clients to explain problems and solutions, providing estimates and recommendations for repairs or replacements. Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.Desired Candidate Profile:Familiarity with various HVAC systems, including residential, commercial, and industrial setups.Skills and Competencies:Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and controls, including heating, cooling, and ventilation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems efficiently.Customer Service Orientation: Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues and solutions to clients in a clear and professional manner. Commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.Physical Abilities: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
