Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients with varied levels of acuity.
- Work collaboratively with other physicians, nurses, and medical staff to provide multi-disciplinary care.
- Perform life-saving procedures as needed, including but not limited to intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear and compassionate explanations of medical procedures and treatment plans.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as established clinical protocols.
- Stay updated on current best practices, procedures, and treatments in emergency medicine through continuing education and professional development.
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
- Active state medical license and DEA certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in an emergency department.
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to make timely and accurate decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Experience in emergency procedures and life-saving techniques.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
