Job description Job Description Job Title: Team Leader of Social Care Setting in Community (40 Hours Per week) Location: Reporting to: Person in Charge (PIC) / Regional Operations Manager (ROM) / Regional Services Manager (RSM)/ Director of Services (DoS) Lotus Care Services: Lotus Care is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals, predominantly those with moderate intellectual disabilities and autism, by providing a nurturing environment where personal growth and development are prioritized. As a Team Leader at Lotus Care you will play is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality residential support services for individuals with moderate intellectual disabilities and autism. You will lead a dedicated team in providing personalized care, fostering inclusivity, and facilitating community engagement for our service users. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing day-to-day operations, guiding staff in implementing individual support plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards set by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). Your role involves close collaboration with the Person in Charge (PIC) and Director of Services (DoS) to uphold Lotus Care's values of partnership, dignity, respect, and choice. By providing leadership, support, and guidance to staff members, you play a crucial role in ensuring the holistic development and well-being of service users. Additionally, your oversight of risk management, staff rosters, and administrative tasks contributes to the smooth functioning of the residential service, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those under our care. As a Team Leader at Lotus Care, you embody professionalism, compassion, and dedication, serving as a beacon of excellence in the Irish social care sector. Through your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service user care and your proactive approach to addressing emerging needs, you contribute significantly to the positive impact of our organization within the community. Responsibilities: As Team Leader, your primary responsibilities will include: Overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations of the designated residential service, in collaboration with the Person in Charge. Leading a team of staff in providing comprehensive support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, including overseeing individual action plans, and person-centred plans. Maintaining oversight of each individual's Personal Plan and ensuring its implementation through regular reviews. Liaising with families and staff from day programs/schools attended by the individuals. Directly engaging with individuals, supervising direct support staff, and managing administrative tasks related to daily operations. Completing regular supervisory sessions with staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support to enhance performance and professional development. Assisting the Person in Charge with the oversight of risk management within the service, including identifying potential risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This will also include completing local audits in conjunction with the PIC. Overseeing staff rosters, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet service requirements, and managing scheduling conflicts. Deputizing for the Person in Charge as required, assuming leadership responsibilities and ensuring continuity of service delivery. Collaborating with the PIC to ensure compliance with applicable HIQA regulations. Demonstrating strong organizational skills, excellent report writing abilities, and proficiency in IT and time management. Fulfilling additional duties as assigned by the organization. You will also be responsible for: Supporting the PIC in meeting Care and Support regulations and HIQA standards. Managing maintenance, safety, risk, staff performance, finances, transport, rostering, and access to clinical and health care supports. Ensuring the delivery of appropriate and effective services to each service user, as agreed with service users and the staff team. Maintaining the highest standard of service user care and participating in enabling service users to fully participate in daily activities, including personal care. Providing leadership and support to assigned staff in accordance with organizational policies. Safeguarding the confidentiality, safety, privacy, dignity, and values of service users. Contributing to the development of strategies to address identified and emerging needs of service users. Participating in staff Personal Development Planning, supervision, and performance management. Coordinating staff duties, activities, and programs efficiently. Maintaining the service user filing system and relevant databases in compliance with GDPR regulations. Serving as a point of contact for the service and handling queries in a professional and timely manner. Engage at team meeting, in-service manager meetings, and company management meetings. This description is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake additional duties as requested by the Director of Services. Probationary Period: A probationary period of six months applies to this position. Salary: The current salary scale for this position ranges from €41,000 to €46,000 per annum. Annual Leave: Annual leave entitlement is 20 days pro rata per annum, proportionately adjusted for less than 12 months of service. Garda Clearance / Police Clearance: Prospective employees undertaking relevant work or activities involving children or vulnerable persons will be required to obtain Garda / Police clearance.
