Childcare Educator (AIM and Afterschool)

This position is to work directly and support a key child with autism and to help care for and collect school-aged children between the ages of 4-12 years . The working hours will be Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am - 3pm daily working alongside our teachers. Key Tasks involve: Working alongside a key child with autism. Developing weekly themes alongside the teachers to incorporate appropriate activities, sensory play, and learning. Assisting with daily school collections and drop offs. Engaging with children appropriately during after school sessions. Acting as a positive role model for all children. Covering teacher Lunch breaks in the montessori classrooms. Undertaking training where necessary. Desirable but not essential: Full, clean driving licence, and willingness to drive a people carrier/ minibus for school pick-ups. The above list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to carry out other duties as the need arises. Essential: Minimum of a level 5 in Childcare.
