The RoleBased in Tekno Surgical, Fonthill, Dublin and reporting to the General Manager, this senior role is responsible for leading and managing the Supply Chain & Operations team (comprising Purchasing, Warehouse, Loan Operations, Inventory Control) to deliver superior service to our customers in line with industry best practice, within an increasingly complex and competitive business environment, while optimising the working capital investment in the business.The role requires effective engagement, collaboration, and relationship management across enabling functions and particularly with the Clinical Field-based team.A significant change management program is currently underway at Tekno Surgical in line with the strategic plan for continued growth. The successful candidate will play a central role in leading this change and will be expected to bring proven ability and experience of leading successful transformative change.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership, management, and development of the Supply Chain & Operations Team, (comprising Purchasing, Warehouse, Loan Operations, Inventory Control) - approx. 40+ employeesNurture and maintain a high-performance and motivating work environmentImplement an optimum/efficient team structure to deliver on the functional responsibilitiesPromote and role model Tekno Surgical's core valuesDelivery of superior service to Customers; a key differentiator relative to competitorsSuperior service to the Field based team and Customer SLA managementMeasurement of performance to SLA and proactive management of customer related issues/mattersChampion Operational Excellence within Supply Chain & Operations to achieve best in class business processes and systems, fostering a positive culture of excellence and continuous improvementEmphasis on process simplification and right-first-time processing, driving operational efficiencyEnsure that the appropriate systems and policies are in place to sustain and improve the delivery of a quality service to customersCompliance with all Health & Safety requirementsAdherence to Quality Management System, Compliance and Regulatory requirementsProactively support sustainability and environmental objectivesImplementation and management of appropriate KPI'sManage the operation within the approved BudgetDevelopment and execution of a strategy that optimises and controls Tekno Surgical's entire stock investment to meet/exceed the needs of our customers and their patients and to meet the company's financial goalsThe strategy will comprise an overarching approach for the planning, design, execution, control and monitoring of all stock related activities, delivering on key performance indicatorsScope includes all Tekno Surgical owned and Supplier owned stock across all locations - includes all stock types, implants, consumable, instrumentation, capitalManage and deliver all day-to-day operational responsibilities related to inventory management & control functionProactive engagement with key Principals' supply chain teams to influence/drive performance regarding product supply and deliveriesPlay a leading role in the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Tekno Surgical (Defend & Grow) focused on the next phase of Tekno Surgical's growth journeySustainable and efficient Operation - Tekno 2.0 Enabling Functions ProjectSupport Medtech ERP project to ensure a seamless introductionStrategically plan and manage the functions, ensuring required capacity is planned and in placeDrive innovation and efficiencies across the operationRequirementsKey Skills & ExperiencesDesirableThe successful candidate will bring proven ability and experience in leading successful transformative change in a supply chain / operations leadership role and environmentLeadership - ability to think strategically, inspire others around a shared vision and strategyDemonstrate a genuine interest in growing and developing peopleProven track record of developing and leading high performing teamsProven ability to building trust with the team and develop the leadership potential in othersPositively and proactively manage employee performance, coaching people managers on sameStrong commercial acumen and ability to positively engage with Commercial teams, Suppliers and CustomersAccountability & Commitment - demonstrated ability to deliver to deadlines; comfortable with a fast paced, changing and at times ambiguous environment.
