• This position will be based at the Banting facility and requires the candidate to perform day-to-day operation & maintenance activities at the Centre MY region (i.e. Banting, Westport, Kuantan, Shah Alam). The incumbent shall follow work instructions for startup/shutdown of plant/equipment, ensuring specified quality is met and maintaining/improving plant reliability.
• The person shall perform routine and breakdown maintenance activities to maintain plant machineries and equipment in reliable and efficient running condition.
• The candidate shall obtain NIOSH confined space qualification to carry out confined space work in the plants. Qualification – AESP and ES/AGT.
• In the event of operation team manpower shortage, the person shall work in shifts to perform operation activities which include but are not limited to startup/shutdown, plant capacity adjustment, and process parameter changes.
• The person will ensure all safety and ISO procedures are adhered to at all times.
• When required, the person will need to provide mechanical support to the commissioning team in the South East Asia Region.

• To be responsible for daily plant maintenance (schedule/breakdown) on all company plants to minimize plant downtime.
• To perform alignment and overhaul on machinery equipment, e.g., pump to motor, fan to motor, ensuring minimum vibration on equipment.
• To perform regular machinery condition monitoring (i.e. vibration check, temperature, sound check, oil top-up, oil replacement, greasing, etc.), assess their reliability, and inform the plant engineer/manager of any abnormalities.
• To be responsible for proper and scheduled maintenance/repair procedures/operations and ensure documentation is filled up and kept.
• To carry out periodic preventive maintenance on plant pipelines, practice good housekeeping at customer sites, workshops, and plant areas, and follow safety practices.
• Follow ISO9001 procedures and work instructions, collaborating with superiors to maintain and improve processes.
• To ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and their allocation, and to be responsible for workshop housekeeping.
• Make records and document plant equipment data. Participate in plant turnaround maintenance activities, plant startup, and shutdown. Report any abnormalities in plant operating conditions/issues to the shift supervisor/plant engineer. Responsible for plant safety equipment inspection as delegated by superiors.
• To participate in housekeeping and safety activities like BSP organized by plant management.
• To function as a Food Safety Management Team Member for IG in MY.
• Facilitate audit processes to assess the compliance of AP on-site operations activities against AP’s standard or relevant applicable standards (i.e., ISO standards, AP Corporate EHS audits, customer audits).
• To perform other duties as instructed by superiors.

• Min. 3 years' experience in mechanical and machinery-related work. OR
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with min. 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance.
• Basic MS Windows and Office skills are preferred.
• Able to speak basic English.
