KEY DUTIES: The position is responsible for technical and supervisory work in planning and directing all Ultrasound, Nuclear Machine, and X-ray procedures under the guidance of the Consultant Radiologist. Responsibility includes independent judgment and supervisory knowledge in assuring the highest level of medical care is administered to all patients who seek radiologic services. The Chief Radiographer / Radiation Protection Officer performs routine radiological and medical imaging procedures, special investigations and OT procedures for the patients and is responsible for ensuring the safe use of radiation. He ensures a least statistical amount of radiation exposure and radiological safety practices and compliance are met in accordance with the DHA, FANR, HMS, and JCI legislative policies and guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
