Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Malaysia on a hybrid basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend systems that are critical to our applications' success, participate in architecting event-driven systems, and work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver high-impact solutions. Key Responsibilities :

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
2. Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
3. Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
4. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
5. Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to team members.
6. Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure the smooth operation of production systems.
7. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
3. Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Node.js.
4. Experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js.
5. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
6. Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
7. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
8. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
9. Familiarity with microservices architecture.
10. Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects showcased on GitHub or similar platforms.
11. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
12. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in software development is preferred, but fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
