Staff Engineer Ams Automation

Job Description In your new role you will:

• Develop software and tools for the automated design of analog and mixed signal circuits. Both front end (schematic) design and physical design (analog layout synthesis) are in focus.
• Improve existing software modules including refactoring, testing, and maintenance of existing code.
• Train and support our worldwide designer community.
• Write technical documentation and strive for quality by complying with all relevant quality assurance processes.
• Integrate new methods, tools, and features into our established design flow.
• Challenge our existing processes and devise better and more efficient ways of IC product development and verification.

Your Profile You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Master or PhD).
• At least 5 years of work or, preferably, research and development experience in the field of Analog and Mixed-Signal IC electrical design automation (AMS-EDA).
• A proven track record of contribution to the field of AMS-EDA, such as publications in related engineering journals and conference proceedings.
• Experience in software development and continuous deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of C / C++, Python, and Cadence-SKILL (a variant of the LISP language) is required.
• Experience in Machine Learning: Artificial Neural Networks and Reinforcement Learning; as well as associated software such as model development in Python / Torch.
• Knowledge of the Cadence Virtuoso software suite is required (schematic entry, layout entry, Spectre / Spice simulation).
• Familiarity with the Unix / Linux operating system as a user and administrator – as well as experience in shell scripting and the use of LSF server farms.
