Senior Electrical Electronics R&D Engineer Job Description: Responsibilities: Key member of the team, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions in their specialized field. Lead the design, analysis, and development of less complex systems, components, or products. Collaborate with Product Management to align and agree on a set of requirements from all aspects of customers. Collaborate with ME / eSW / MT / SE on conceptualization and collaborate with all stakeholders, such as PM, Service, QM, Sourcing, NPI, Production, Suppliers, Sales, etc. to align and agree on the concept. Ensure DFM / DFT are taken into design consideration and support and make recommendations as task force member after detailed analysis of the issues/data. Develop action plan to outline the steps, resources, and timelines required to identify the root cause and implement solutions. Collaborate with other departments, such as product management, Project Management, Service, NPI, and operations, to align engineering efforts with broader company objectives. Take ownership of assigned projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with project managers to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Provide technology / engineering solutions according to requirements spec and keep the EE manager and project team updated on the progress. Testing and Validation: develop and execute EE test plan to validate designs and ensure product performance. Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on designs to achieve desired performance metrics. Create or review test plans from junior members, execute or monitor the test progress, review, and analyze the test results. Drive design iterations if necessary. Review RS. Create/review User Manual, create PDS/MDS, schematic, PCB layout, necessary PCBA manufacturing data, test plans/reports, ePLAN circuit Diagram, cable drawings. Technical concept & IP slides preparation and lead innovations and patent filings. Ensure all electrical/electronic activities, designs, and projects adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations and are aware of necessary safety protocols and practices within the electrical team. Implement solutions that meet the safety requirements, ESD, EMC, noise emission, RoHS, and CE compliance. Support ISO audit or certification (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001). Train and mentor junior members on the necessary guidelines to achieve consistent developmental outputs/results/solutions. Follow the guidelines and checklist during development and drive or participate in design review before design release. Involve in multiple projects with conflicting priorities. Meet challenging cost and timeline targets. Handle complex design and analysis. Improve multitasking skills and collaborate closely with Project Manager and Group Manager on prioritization. Continuous learning to keep up with the latest innovation and technology trends and involve in minimum 1 PSG and 1 or more PAG projects. Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any relevant discipline. Minimum 5 to 8 years of strong expertise in circuit design, analog and digital electronics, power electronics, and electrical wiring. Proficiency in using relevant design and simulation tools (e.g., PADS, ePLAN, Hyperlynx, ActiveHDL, SPICE). Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of addressing complex technical challenges. Demonstrates a strong focus on delivering high-quality results, meeting project objectives, and performance expectations. Strong ability to analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions, applying critical thinking to troubleshoot issues effectively. Displays a proactive approach to innovation, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance design methodologies, integrate emerging technologies, and improve overall product performance.
