Journal Manager (Plant Pathology)

The Journal Manager will be responsible for managing journal operations and will receive a 40% share of the total revenue for each issue. Online training will be provided to the selected candidates. The ideal candidate must have a strong research interest and proficiency in computer and internet browsing. Preference will be given to candidates with national or international publications.Candidate will be asked to perform the following tasks:Process administration and quality control assessments for usability (for review purposes).Ensure completeness of metadata and e-files (including source files) of submitted and revised manuscripts.Make manuscripts available to Editor(s) and/or Reviewers.Assess usability (for production purposes) and completeness of metadata and e-files of accepted manuscripts and make manuscripts available to authors.Prioritize handling of manuscripts according to the Service Level agreements set per journal.Maintain people records online.Conduct keyword searching using search engines and maintain records of the keywords and search results.Communicate and answer or forward queries from Authors and Editors to appropriate parties.Provide feedback on input quality of content and metadata and supplier performance to relevant parties.Job SpecificationTeamworkCommunicate openly and actively with team members (other Journal Administrators, Journal Managers, and Team Manager) about conflicting priorities in workload balance, manuscript flow problems, and aberrations.Competencies: Customer Focus, Driving Execution, and good knowledge of written English.Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Internet Browsing, etc.).About UsESci Journals are open access, peer-reviewed, international scientific journals.
