About Our Client: Our client is a Hong Kong based organisation with the goal in cultivating a design culture in Hong Kong. They are a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in leveraging the city’s East-meets-West advantage to create value from design. They are looking for a proactive leader to promote and develop various business project opportunities that unleash the value of design. About The Role:

• Reporting to Executive Director and be a member of the Executive Management team.
• Offer strategic advice and insight to Executive Director on the macro design scene, creative industry-related development, and ways to enhance Hong Kong’s positioning and programming impact as an international creative city and design hub in Asia.
• Identify and explore new business and partnership opportunities for the organisation, and devise appropriate marketing and PR strategies to promote the business and activities of the organisation.
• Make recommendations and seek steer from the Board of Directors and ED on planning and delivering new corporate initiatives and projects, including projects for income generation for the organisation, and projects with strong elements of partnership and relationship building with the innovation, business, creative and cultural communities.
• Service relevant committees of the board, including the Programme Committee and Development Committee, in setting and implementing activities; expand reach and maintain relations with benefactors, sponsors, partners and other key stakeholders.
• Work closely with the organisation’s management and relevant stakeholders to shape, plan and orchestrate development and organise resources for cost-effective, timely and experience-based delivery, with impact and compliance with management reporting and governance requirements.
• Plan and deliver partnership projects that promote good design culture to the community and/or other projects involving relations building with public, non-profit, business and community partners, including community engagement programmes.
• Manage with accountability the administration and effective operation of the team, including team building, staff development and mentoring, budget control, logistical arrangements, monitoring of vendor performance, assessment of feedback and impact, and other funding matters.
• Work in collaboration and cooperation with other business and functional units of the organisation in support of the programmes/operation in general.
• Undertake ad hoc assignments as required.

The Successful Applicant:

• University graduate with a minimum of 16 years relevant experience, preferably including experience gained in design, art and creative industries.
• A team builder and team player with highly developed, people-centric leadership style, a growth mindset and strong project planning, development and management skills.
• Ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Creative leadership and business development skills in striking partnerships, preparing collaboration or sponsorship proposals or pitches, and following up.
• Self-initiative, with resilience, accountability and ability to work across teams and in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge and experience in NGOs and in initiating and managing public-funded and public-private partnership projects would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent influencing, communication and negotiation skills with good personality and service attitudes.
• Ability to discharge duties with professionalism, ethics, tact and compliance with corporate governance.
