Description The Construction Methods Engineer is responsible for planning, developing and optimizing construction methods and processes for various residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and/or civil engineering construction projects. He works closely with project teams to ensure the efficiency, safety and profitability of operations on construction sites. By analyzing and developing innovative technical solutions, he helps improve the quality of projects while respecting current standards and regulations. Responsibilities •Design and develop optimal construction methods and processes for various types of projects. •Conduct technical studies and analyze plans and specifications to propose efficient and innovative solutions. •Define work sequences and operational processes while taking into account technical, financial and time constraints. •Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce construction costs and deadlines. •Integrate new construction technologies and techniques (e.g. BIM, prefabrication) into existing processes. •Evaluate the performance of the methods applied and propose adjustments based on feedback. •Collaborate with project teams, including project managers, superintendents, estimators and engineers, to ensure a common understanding of the proposed methods. •Participate in planning and coordination meetings to ensure alignment of objectives and strategies. •Effectively communicate plans and procedures to site teams and ensure their proper understanding and application. •Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation relating to construction methods, including work plans, operational procedures and risk analyses. •Ensure compliance of documentation with quality standards and regulations in force. •Provide technical support during the preparation of bids and calls for tenders. •Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental standards and occupational health and safety regulations. •Conduct risk analyses and propose preventive measures to ensure the safety of operations on sites. •Collaborate with HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) teams to integrate best practices into construction methods. •Provide technical support to site teams to resolve technical and operational issues encountered. •Conduct site visits to supervise the application of methods and ensure their compliance and effectiveness. •Participate in the training and development of technical skills of operational teams. •Perform any other related tasks. Requirements •Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or a related field. •Relevant experience in the construction field, including significant experience in developing construction methods for various projects (residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, civil engineering), an asset. •Demonstrated experience in complex project management and interdisciplinary coordination, an asset. •Excellent knowledge of modern construction techniques and processes. •Proficiency in design and planning software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6 and BIM tools. •Good understanding of building codes, safety standards and environmental regulations applicable. •Ability to quickly identify technical issues and propose effective and innovative solutions. •Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. •Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while respecting deadlines and priorities. •Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute positively to group dynamics. •Ability to adapt to change and work in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. •Commitment to achieving quality, safety and financial performance objectives. •Excellent communication, both orally and in writing. •Possession of a valid driver's license and availability to travel to different project sites as needed.
