Department: Maintenance Reporting To: Maintenance Manager General Function of the Position: The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment at Haji Hassan Reinforcement. This includes both routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. The engineer will focus on optimizing machine performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Given the sophisticated equipment and machinery used in the company’s operations, the role requires proactive problem-solving and strong technical knowledge to address both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. Academic/Professional Qualifications and Related Experience Required:

• Minimum Acceptable:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechatronic systems and components, particularly in machinery used for cutting, bending, and reinforcing processes.
• Experience working with automated machinery and systems, including computer-controlled shear lines and automatic bending machines.
• Preferred:
• Experience with maintenance of industrial machinery in the construction or reinforcement industry.
• Certification in industrial maintenance, machinery repair, or any other relevant field.
• Familiarity with the latest tools and technologies used in the maintenance and optimization of manufacturing equipment.

Job-Related Qualities:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix machine breakdowns quickly.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems within industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Proactive in identifying potential maintenance issues and taking preventive measures to reduce downtime.

Detailed Responsibilities and Authorities:

• Machine Maintenance:
• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all machinery and equipment, including the computer-controlled shear line and automatic bending machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues as they arise to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure all machines are maintained according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Equipment Optimization:
• Identify opportunities to improve machine performance and efficiency.
• Implement modifications or upgrades to machines to improve their functionality and extend their lifespan.
• Work closely with production teams to address any machinery-related production issues.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair logs, spare parts inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Report on maintenance work, machine performance, and any potential issues to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Team Collaboration:
• Coordinate with other engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute necessary maintenance work with minimal disruption to production.
• Provide guidance and support to junior maintenance staff when needed.
• Train production teams on basic machine operations and safety protocols as necessary.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Identify and rectify any safety hazards related to equipment and machinery.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations for machinery maintenance and operational safety.
