Head Trade Governance

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide input to the Head - Global Business Operations in the development of the strategy and operational plan for the Trade Governance Department, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to Trade Finance operations.Lead the development and implementation of policies, controls, and protocols related to Trade Operations across the Bank, ensuring a standardized approach to executing transactions, reporting, risk management, and maintaining regulatory compliance.Regularly assess gaps in the Trade Governance framework in light of changes in regulatory requirements or the Bank's overarching objectives and policies.Lead the preparation, updating, and revision of policies and procedures of Trade Operations.Recommend decisions in deviation and exceptional cases related to Trade Operations, where policy parameters/SOPs are breached or extenuating circumstances require intervention.Periodically undertake visits to Trade Hubs to assess ground-level factors impacting the Trade Governance framework.Oversee the execution of operational processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Provide guidance and support to the Trade Governance team to ensure that all operations within the department are carried out to the highest standards.
