- Position title – Data Centre Operations Lead / Senior Manager / Manager (@ 3 positions)
- Remuneration – Negotiable
- Operational Leadership : Lead, manage, and optimize day-to-day operations of the data centre, ensuring seamless delivery of IT services to internal and external customers. Lead in the budgeting of the data centre bi-annual operational budget.
- Partner with Construction and Design teams throughout the build phase to ensure operational requirements are met and the buildings are fully ready for operations when turned over to the Facility Operations Team. This includes participation in the commissioning (Integrated System Test) for new (greenfield) data centres.
- Infrastructure Management : Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of data centre hardware and infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, network equipment, and power & cooling systems.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of data centre technicians, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Capacity Planning: Develop and implement strategies for future growth, capacity expansion, and infrastructure upgrades to meet business needs and scalability requirements.
- Incident Management: Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a swift return to normal operations. Develop a scalable operations model with a well-documented roadmap, goals, and objectives, including issue tracking, triaging, and crisis management.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards as well as internal policies and procedures for data protection, physical security, and risk management.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and contractors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to SLAs. Ensure proper negotiation with vendors and make recommendations on strategic and tactical decisions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Design, implement, and maintain innovative, accurate, and up-to-date robust processes and system management as well as documentation on all systems, processes, and configurations. Maintain applicable certifications and standards.
- Others: Ad-hoc assignments as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study – Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with solid IT service management knowledge & experience is preferred.
- Must have working knowledge and proven experience of various subsystems such as BMS, CMMS/DCIM, HVAC, UPS, PDU, RPP, and electrical switch gears environments.
- 9 to 18 years of relevant work experience with a minimum of 5 years hands-on data centre infrastructure / operational experience.
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards, amongst others, NFPA, ASHRAE, ISO 27001, Datacenter Dynamic or EPI and equivalent.
- High-level of knowledge and understanding of data centre construction, power and cooling technologies, operation of mission-critical systems, amongst others.
- Able to think out of the box and willing to provide solutions to complex problems under pressure. Experience in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
- Preferably possesses LEW License.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa required. Knowledge of Mandarin (written and spoken) will be advantageous.
