Senior System/Cloud Engineer

About the Role Customer Interactions tribe is looking for a Senior System/Cloud Engineer with a can-do attitude. By joining our tribe, you will be in charge of delivering an effortless and frictionless customer journey for prospects and current customers, across their interactions with Swift while increasing their autonomy! We are on a mission to improve these end-to-end interactions and are therefore evolving our significant technology stack. Four years into our journey we are progressing with the consolidation and renewal of this technology. What to Expect?

• Manage day-to-day systems administration including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software platforms.
• Ensure software platforms are upgraded with the latest software and security patches to optimize performance and availability, address vulnerabilities, and comply with security policies.
• Define and implement solutions to address issues in the area of systems, applications, databases, or a combination thereof.
• Ensure service continuity and user satisfaction by providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and quickly resolving issues.
• Collaborate with network services, software engineering, and testing teams to restore availability of services and/or identify the root cause of issues.
• Participate in system/network projects and enhancements by providing technical advice/solutions.
• Propose and lead improvements on processes, procedures, and/or tools; Drive automation.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Manage deployment and release management activities.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud/System Engineer.
• Solid experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, or Unix.
• Solid experience with virtualization, such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, VMware Workstation, or VirtualBox.
• Knowledge in the field of network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security protocols.
• Familiar with authentication methods, data encryption, and able to use software tools for monitoring and detecting threats.
• Familiar with data backup and disaster recovery methods and tools.
• Experience in cloud platform, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in scripting languages and automation tools.

Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer, CompTIA Server+ Certification, Oracle Linux System Administrator, VMware Certified Professional are highly desired.
