Logistics Specialist

Job Description

• The Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in the efficient and seamless flow of goods within the terminal. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing logistics processes and ensuring timely and accurate cargo handling.

• Cargo Handling:
• Coordinate and Oversee logistics operations by managing all aspects of terminal logistics (including shipping routes, delivery schedules, ..etc).
• Logistics Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and implement efficient logistics plans to optimize cargo flow for the terminal operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Monitor and track cargo movements throughout the supply chain.
  • Identify and resolve logistical challenges and bottlenecks.
  • Communicate with Customs & GAFI for any processes related to terminal operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation.
• Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and transportation providers.
• Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
• Other Duties as Assigned:
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes.
  • Assist with other terminal operations as needed.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Proven 2-3 years of experience in a logistics role. Experience in a terminal or port environment is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with logistics software and tools.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and export documentation.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • CLTD
