The Working Capital/Dealer finance Credit Policy and Portfolio Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing credit policies for working capital products. The role involves overseeing the performance of the working capital portfolio, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong understanding of credit underwriting, portfolio risk management, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Policy Development: Develop and implement credit policies for working capital products tailored to different segments (SME, Dealer finance, cash credit or overdraft etc.). Ensure alignment of credit policies with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
- Underwriting and Risk Assessment: Design and improve credit underwriting frameworks to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the working capital portfolio to ensure healthy performance. Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify emerging risks.
- Credit Approval Process: Oversee the credit approval process for working capital products. Manage exceptions and escalate significant credit issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Work with business development teams to align credit policy with market needs.
- Risk Reporting and Analytics: Develop periodic risk reports and dashboards for senior management. Use data analytics to refine credit policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and improvements in credit evaluation.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio management, or credit underwriting, preferably in working capital or SME lending.
- Prior experience in automotive financing, especially with dealer loans and floor plan financing.
- Strong understanding of credit risk analysis, underwriting processes, and working capital products.
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and lending principles.
