As a Light Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles to transport goods or passengers. This position requires working 12-hour shifts with no scheduled days off within a 30-day duty cycle. A manual driver's license is mandatory for this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Safely operate light vehicles to transport goods or passengers.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules diligently.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transit.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned vehicles.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo or passengers as required.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle malfunctions promptly to the Transportation Supervisor.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers or clients.
- Coordinate with supervisors regarding route changes or delays.
- Familiarize yourself with delivery locations and routes.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with passengers and colleagues.
- Keep vehicles stocked with necessary supplies and emergency equipment.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after each shift.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation.
- Perform any other duties related to driving or vehicle maintenance as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Valid manual driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or professional capacity.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts continuously for a 30-day duty cycle.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
- Knowledge of GPS devices and navigation apps.
- Familiarity with routes and locations within the operating area.
- Positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional service to customers or passengers.
**Working Conditions**:
- 12-hour shifts with no scheduled days off within a 30-day duty cycle.
- Work environment may include exposure to various weather conditions.
- Physical demands include sitting for long periods, bending, lifting, and carrying items
**Salary**: QAR2,000.00 per month
