Job title : Accountant (Assistant)
Job Location : Abuja Deadline : January 10, 2025 Quick Recommended Links Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, and statements.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost tracking.
- Handle filing, archiving, and retrieving financial documents as needed.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve any accounting-related inquiries.
- Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
- Provide support during audits and assist in implementing necessary changes based on audit findings.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks and administrative duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role is a plus but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
