Stage 1B ties into Stage1A, NIMT Bridges, and completes a combined 6km of three laned SH1 in both directions, six new motorway bridges and multiple interfacing local roads, over motorway bridges, Shared User Paths (SUPs) and upgraded utilities. We are on the lookout for a Quality Engineer in the heavy civils and structures space to join the team. You will provide technical skills towards the overall delivery of all quality objectives, driving continued excellence level in all key result areas on this project. With strong technical skills and knowledge in project-based quality management, you will bring to the table excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities that will see you promoting a quality culture across the project. Your ability to influence people to adopt a strong focus on quality will have a direct impact on the systematic reduction of defects and rework while ensuring that all business systems and processes are implemented and maintained. This role will see you strongly influencing internal and subcontracted parties, interaction with the client or their representative, as well as the other stakeholders, including the designers. - You are tertiary qualified in either Quality, HSQE, Civil Engineering or similar, with at least 2 years’ experience managing quality aspects on large infrastructure projects.
- You are strong on computer-based systems and programmes for QA and QC purposes and all reporting needs.
- A track record in promoting a quality culture of best practice as well as practical developed skills in auditing, inspection, testing, risk assessment, quality assurance.
- A broad knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements as well as project management system requirements.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
- A non-compromising attitude towards a safe and tidy site.
- A track record of delivery of high-quality standards personally and within project teams.
