is seeking expressions of interest from suitable qualified personal care
attendants to undertake the role of Personal Care Assistant in our high level
aged care facility Waratah Lodge and our low level aged care facility Lochiel House. Applicants must have some flexibility to
pick up shifts at short notice.
Brief
outline of Position including Job Responsibilities:
Successful applicants will be responsible for
providing home-like, person-centred care in a safe and secure environment for residents
of Waratah Lodge. Candidates should have previous
experience in personal careand a
demonstrated commitment to aged care, have basic computer knowledge and skills,
an understanding of OH&S issues relating to this position, have a friendly
and helpful manner, be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate
flexibility and commitment. It will also be advantageous if applicants have
experience working with or knowledge of dementia management and an
understanding of harm minimisation for residents such as falls prevention.
Required
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Personal Care
