Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor, Subcontractors plays a crucial role in overseeing all commercial activities related to subcontractors. Key responsibilities include contract management, budget oversight, adherence to commercial agreements and subcontractor relationship management. Your tasks
- Understand subcontractor’s scope of work: contract specifications, drawings and schedules.
- Act as Voith’s primary point of contact and work with subcontractors to resolve problems.
- Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plan and escalate critical issues.
- Supervise subcontractors’ daily activities and ensure work is executed as per business priorities (HSE, quality, schedule and budget) and contractual requirements. Identify and document deviations.
- Coordinate work planning with all subcontractors trades and participate in daily planning meetings.
- Issue non-compliance-report (NCR) to subcontractors.
- Monitor activities and provide progress reports (HSE, quality, schedule and budget).
- Coordinate change management process and manage claims with the subcontractors.
- Approve timesheets, progress and invoicing.
- Manage weekly meetings with subcontractors (progress, performance, risks and opportunities, contractual issue review, invoicing, etc.) and issue minutes of meeting.
- Obtain and maintain all relevant subcontractor documentation as per the contract.
- Diploma in electrical or mechanical, or related field.
- Ability to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget.
- Previous demonstrated experience in Construction Management.
- Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
- Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering strategic problem-solving solutions.
- Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English in an international team environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb as necessary.
- A typical roster of 14 days in, 7 days out.
- Camp accommodation is provided.
