Role Summary: As the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will report directly to the Head of Cloud Platform and work on setting up and maintaining a robust and highly automated cloud infrastructure. You will be part of the team in building from scratch our cloud-native capability, with a focus on optimizing for cost, enabling software developers to develop quickly, with a strong focus on automation and cloud-native cybersecurity practices. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities:
- Technical hands-on ability
- Work closely with the Head of Cloud Platform and other seniors to design and set up the cloud infrastructure to support data science/AI development, software development as well as production environments, with cost, cybersecurity, and infrastructure-as-code as key considerations.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and enable professional growth and learning.
- Cloud Infrastructure development
- Build and maintain cloud monitoring and automation solutions to improve daily operations.
- Develop a self-service model that treats data scientists and software developers as customers and empowers software developers to develop in an agile manner with the right governance guardrails.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerts to enable real-time monitoring of cloud environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a technology expert and practitioner, building and scaling cloud infrastructure with at least 6 years in the software industry.
- Experience maintaining cloud infrastructure for production use cases with stringent service level standards and where downtime has a material impact on the business.
- Deep experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and ideally Azure, and with infrastructure-as-code technology e.g., Terraform and cloud-native tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to approach complex business problems in a structured and logical manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
