Organizational Description: Valley Gardens Community Center is a growing recreational facility that offers programs, recreation, and drop-in opportunities to the members of its community. VGCC serves East Kildonan, North Kildonan, and Transcona areas.Volunteer Opportunity DetailsVolunteer Opportunity ID: 2663Description of Duties:Valley Gardens Community Centre is located in East Kildonan. Supporting diverse programming at the Community Centre including sports and the volunteers that support these programs. Maintaining a list of volunteers at the Community Centre, meeting with new members and volunteers. Is an executive member of the board of directors attending meetings.Skills Required:Good organization, team player, computer experience. We will train and support.Skills Gained/Related Careers:Management skills, community service, volunteer management.Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening, Weekend. Some daytime correspondence calls made/taken. Emails can be handled evenings and weekends. Will be required to attend monthly board meetings.
