About The Role We employ approximately 4,000 people across our businesses in Auckland, Hamilton and Queenstown, and our dedicated Auckland-based Payroll team ensure everyone is paid correctly, on time and in compliance with the NZ Payroll Legislation, the Holidays Act as well as SkyCity's policies. The Team Leader - Payroll role operates as the subject matter expert and resolves issues along with looking for improvements in processes and implements these initiatives. Directly assisting the Payroll Manager to define standards and approaches for payroll operations. You will manage effective internal/external client relationships within your area of responsibility as well as build client relationships throughout the wider group/organisation. You'll Bring
- Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of NZ payroll legislations and the Holidays Act
- Extensive experience in large payroll functions with high volumes of processing
- Intermediate to advanced level experience using MS Excel
- A well organised attitude as well as the ability to work well under pressure
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft an advantage
