Deputy Director / Senior Assistant Director, Central Project Management Office, Innovation & Enterprise The Central Project Management Office (CPMO) sited at Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) Group in A*STAR, offers a unique opportunity for seasoned profession to oversee the design and development of solutions and tools to enhance project management in A*STAR. Additionally, in this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with world class research scientists and engineers to drive impactful programmes, projects and initiatives. About CPMO The objectives of CPMO include: Strengthen project management in all A*STAR Research Institutions (RIs) through RI PMOs Establish and maintain project management governance, project life cycle management processes, tools/templates and solutions. Ensure consistency and quality in project management across all Ris Conduct reviews to identify areas for improvement and best practices Provide training, guidance, and support to project managers and teams, enhancing their skills and capabilities Lead impactful programmes/projects About the Role The role of the Deputy Director/Senior Assistant Director includes, but is not limited to the following: Engage senior management with a big picture perspective to drive/co-drive CPMO's vision, strategy, and goals to support the organization's strategic objectives Provide regular CPMO status updates on progress, issues and challenges to senior management and key stakeholders Establish and drive project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across A*STAR research institutes Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee the planning, execution, testing and delivery of project management solutions Project manage impactful programmes/projects through the project life cycle management phases from capture to closure. Lead project scoping with internal and external stakeholders, establish communication plans, build detailed schedules, and establish clear project / programme milestones and deliverables. Facilitate good communication between the cross-functional team members, fosters collaboration and teamwork Ensure successful delivery of project / programme scope and targets by managing risks, quality, scope, schedule, and cost/budget utilization. Lead and drive quality, procurement, finance, legal challenges, and any other challenges critical to project delivery. Ensure project documentation (e.g. project agreement, reports, etc.) is relevant, accurate, complete and audit ready. Expert in using the project / programme tools and guiding RI through the processes. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration Qualifications Strong experience in project management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development processes Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in software application development Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies Bachelor?s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field in STEM PMP, IPMA or equivalent project management certification is an advantage Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities Strong negotiation and relationship/stakeholder management skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with project management systems and tools such as Jira, or Microsoft Project will be an added advantage #J-18808-Ljbffr
