Senior Power BI Analyst / Developer

Job Description

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain business intelligence data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI
• Creating and maintaining reports from various sources of data like Oracle Data Warehouse, Oracle EBS, MS SQL, Cloud Solutions, and Flat files.
• Expertise in building data visualizations to highlight patterns in the data from unstructured and structured data sets
• See/understand the end-to-end architecture of this project from the source system to EDW to the data model to Power BI
• Provide input/guidance on how to improve/update EDW architecture to be scalable/flexible to accommodate additional metrics/requirements for future sprints
• Hands-on experience, building/updating/extending EDW architecture and data

Job Requirements

• 10 years of experience as a BI Developer, minimum 5 years developing and building visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, SSAS Tabular Models.
• Should be able to define a data model, create and customize visualizations, hierarchies, and drill-down in Power BI.
• Should know about publishing, sharing, and exploring data.
• Should be able to define a model with calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables using DAX, clean and transform data with the Query Editor.
• Should be able to customize and design advanced visualizations and optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.
• Should be able to configure and set up gateways, developing, maintaining, publishing, and supporting dashboards.
• Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Should analyze functional/non-functional requirements and seek clarifications for a better understanding of requirements.
• Very strong in database concepts, data modeling, stored procedures, complex query writing, and performance optimization of SQL queries.
