Learn more at Position Overview: This position will lead the IT-Infrastructure Procurement Category for Asia Pacific covering the areas of Network and Data Center Hardware and Managed Services, Network Transport Data/Voice, Personal Computers, Print Services, Mobile Communications Products and Services, Personal Productivity Solutions, Help Desk Services, Security & Risk Management. He/She will be responsible in delivering the J&J Technology business and operational goals and targets, work closely with the Infrastructure Global Category Lead and team in ensuring the global strategies are implemented regionally and will partner with stakeholders from various functions across all sectors in the region to deliver business initiatives. Key responsibilities 1. Regional Sourcing Strategies Responsible for execution and/or implementation of global and regional strategies, keeping the regional sourcing strategy current and relevant and aligned to the overarching global strategy while meeting business needs. Lead or support key global subcategory procurement initiatives Understand stakeholder needs and ensure that regional / global strategies address these requirements Be on top of the latest market and technology trends that will benefit J&J. 2. Cost Savings Identify cost savings opportunities that will bring efficiencies in the delivery of services Flawless execution of global projects on a regional level. Collaborate with Technology Services stakeholders across the region to identify opportunities to reduce cost or cost-effective solutions Keep a regional or global mindset to ensure projects are leveraged and value maximized Collaborate with Global Category team in providing APAC inputs in global projects or negotiations. 3. Procurement Operations Overall responsibility to improve procurement operational metrics such as driving spend to preferred suppliers, no-touch channel opportunities, CSAT scores. Optimize and implement improvements in sourcing processes, partner and leverage Global Services resources to ensure customer satisfaction Implement sourcing processes that will help improve compliance to Procurement Policies. 4. Stakeholder Management Build stakeholder relationships to drive value to the business and ensure procurement support on all requirements and any unmet needs Enforce and ensure understanding of procurement policies and processes to drive compliance. 5. Supplier Management Manage relationships especially with Preferred Strategic Suppliers in the region – leveraging on supplier expertise to drive relevant discussions with the business, tracking supplier performance on key projects or ongoing services, and providing feedback for performance improvement to maximize delivery of services to J&J. Generate innovative solutions by partnering with strategic vendors Work with contracting teams to ensure contracts are in place and compliant to policies and minimize risk. Establish a regular cadence of meetings with strategic suppliers (quarterly/annually etc.) and involve regional leadership to identify category improvement opportunities Others Regular updates and alignment to Procurement leadership/ Global Category Lead Support category’s DE&I and Sustainability commitments for the region Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, MBA or further advanced degree is desirable Minimum 7 to 10 years of related experience with strong business acumen / procurement – the ability to understand challenges through the eyes of the business leaders Expertise in Commercial Agreements and knowledge on Legal and Compliance requirements Influencing skills – the ability to persuade others to change behaviour in pursuit of a common goal Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives Demonstrated learning agility, and the ability to improve both yourself and the people around you Solid understanding of procurement processes and technology landscape. This position is Singapore based and may require up to 10% travel.
