We are now looking for Designer – Civil & Structural to be a part of Rejlers Team in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas Projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reports To The Designer, Civil & Structural reports to the Head of Discipline, Civil & Structural. Job Overview The Designer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. We also value people for whom safety is part of their professional skills. Responsibilities and Duties
- Act as senior and interact with the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development.
- Ability to review and understand Client's technical documentation and requirements.
- Must have good knowledge and extensive experience with ADNOC / Shell DEP standards and drafting procedures.
- Must have good knowledge and understanding of civil, structural and architectural drawings.
- Able to organize inputs and supervise for preparation of civil, structural and architectural drawings.
- Must be able to prepare and develop 3D models using licensed software.
- Must be able to prepare and develop 2D drawings using licensed software such as but not limited to:
- Civil & Structural Standard Drawings (General Notes, Handrail, Ladder, Manhole, Stairways etc.)
- Roads & Pavements Details
- Develop grading layout drawings.
- Civil General Arrangement Drawings.
- Substation Buildings - Architectural Plan, Section, Elevation & Details.
- Control Building - Architectural Plan, Section, Elevation & Details.
- Service Building (RDS) - Architectural Plan, Section, Elevation & Details.
- Equipment & Sheds - Layout & Details.
- Pipe Rack - Layout & Details.
- Understand the interface within multi-discipline project.
- Should take full responsibility of proper and timely execution of project deliverable ensuring full compliance with quality management system and any project specific contractual requirements.
- Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management teams.
- Coordinate within members of civil structural discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team.
- Participates in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out.
- Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, material quantity and budget control.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects.
- Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas.
- Cooperating with other engineering disciplines, customers and subcontractors locally or overseas.
- Must be able to review and check civil structural design deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy and Environmental objectives.
- Engineering Graduate (BSc. or Diploma).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Designer in O&G field.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Strong Knowledge on Field Civil & Structural.
- Expertise in AutoCAD.
- ADNOC experience will be an added advantage.
- Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Onshore.
- Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
- Team player, smart-worker, problem solver and a can-do attitude.
- Fluent in English language.
