Position Title: Low Current Inspector (Building) Work Location/Term: Riyadh, KSA / Full-time Supervision: Site Inspections, Quality Assurance, Compliance Monitoring Reports to: Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Site Inspections: Inspect low current systems (fire alarms, CCTV, access control, BMS, structured cabling) for compliance with designs and specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensure installations meet quality standards, project requirements, and relevant codes. Report non-conformances.
- Testing & Commissioning: Assist in testing and commissioning low current systems, verifying functionality and integration.
- Material Verification: Inspect equipment and materials for compliance with approved specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare progress reports.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to local regulations, safety guidelines, and international standards.
- Contractor Coordination: Resolve installation issues with contractors, providing feedback and recommendations.
- Safety Assurance: Monitor on-site safety practices and mitigate risks.
Competency Requirements:
- Expertise in low current systems (fire alarms, CCTV, BMS, etc.).
- Knowledge of local/international standards and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- Degree in a relevant field + 3 years of experience in low current inspections.
- Diploma + 7 years of experience in low current installations or inspections.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certification in low current systems is an advantage.
- Should be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) as an Engineer.
- Languages: Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in inspection tools, organizational abilities, and safety practices.
