POSITION SNAPSHOT Title: Customs Clearance Specialist Location: Cairo, Egypt A DAY IN THE LIFE … Customs Clearance of raw materials/machines/spare parts in the shortest lead time Customs Clearance at the optimum cost Cost optimization through tariffs reduction by checking alternative sources with bilateral / preferential trade agreements Ensure supply through on time payment to suppliers. Follow up on blocked & parked invoices and account management are key activities Improve storage and demurrage cost through networking with clearing agents, and shipping lines. Regular meetings, sharing scorecards are key activities ++networking with decision makers in the Import & Export authority Daily Follow up activities: Managing Customs Payments 2) Customs Documentation follow up 3) Contact shipping lines to follow up on consignments 4) Work with clearing agents on the release of consignments 5- Plan dispatches from Port to WH / factory within allowed capacities Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any relevant field. 1 – 2 Years of Experience Good understanding in Egyptian laws and Regulations governing Excellent Communication skills.
