Job Title : Civil Engineer – Civil & Structural Works Location : Gurugram Reports To : Project Manager/Tower Incharge Employment Type : Full-time Role Overview The Civil Engineer – Structural Works is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of civil & structural works in construction projects. This role involves ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Construction Supervision
- Oversee on-site execution of structural works, ensuring adherence to approved designs and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks for formwork, reinforcement, concreting, and other Civil and structural activities.
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
- Project Coordination
- Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve structural design or execution conflicts.
- Ensure that works are integrated seamlessly with other project elements.
- Provide technical guidance to the construction team to address site challenges.
- Material Management
- Verify and approve structural material specifications and quantities.
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery of required materials.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of works, including progress reports, quality inspection records, and material usage logs.
- Prepare detailed reports for project management regarding site issues, progress, and safety observations.
- Document and address non-conformances with corrective actions.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure that all works are performed in compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety protocols for workers and structures.
- Address any work risks or potential hazards proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 10-12 years of experience in structural engineering or related roles in the construction industry.
- Experience with large-scale or complex projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and structural systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Certification in project management or construction safety is advantageous.
