What the role is: The individual will be part of a team that oversees the strategy development, as well as operational policy and planning, in capability and capacity building for the social service sector. This includes formulating strategies to enhance organisational capabilities of Social Service Agencies (SSAs); lead in the research and development of domain-specific (organisational development, people practice, volunteer management, digitalisation etc) implementation strategies; develop and implement impact and progress tracking matrix/mechanisms; and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to implement identified plans. The key objective of this role is to ensure that SSAs are supported to improve their operational efficiency and effectiveness in delivering quality social services to users. Your primary role will be supporting the team in developing operation policies and implementation planning. What you will be working on: 1. Develop and drive strategies to strengthen organisation capabilities in the social service sector Conceptualise and plan initiatives to strengthen the sector’s organisation capabilities Maintain strategic oversight of the sector’s needs and development Monitor the sector’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats Ensure alignment to government directions and masterplans Develop and monitor key metrics to measure and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Provide policy guidance to internal operational teams. Maintain and lead reviews of operational policies, to ensure that the processes are clear and relevant for operational teams.
- Conduct policy and initiatives reviews, assess the impact and effectiveness of capability-building efforts. Develop and provide recommendations for policy enhancements; and prepare proposals for enhancements. What we are looking for:
