Purpose of the job: The Interlocking (IXL) is a system composed by Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electric, Electronic and Software components having the aim to ensure safe movements of trains. The purpose of the job is to take part to the execution of IXL design activities of a Signalling project, adopt the Alstom application design process and ensure the delivery accordingly to the projects schedule and quality commitments. Interacts with other project stakeholders and collects the needed input to execute the activities and provide output of the activities accordingly to project rules and templates. Share with Project IXL Design Leader the progress of the activities executed, the issues and share the potential improvement that can be applied on the process and tools with the tools product team. Job Responsibilities:
- Design of Railway Signalling System of Specific Application with safety requirements.
- Decide about technical solutions related to application design/SW Configuration.
- Follow applicable internal and external railway rules and regulations.
- Analyze and understand system requirements for the Railway Signalling System.
- Create and deliver Specific Application documentation to secure quality and safety.
- Follow applicable internal procedures for Configuration and Change Management.
- Support actively the Project IXL Design Leader and Project V&V Manager in design issues debugging
- Cooperation with employees within the team and department to continuously improve system knowledge and way of working.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience
- Good knowledge in Coding, programming, Automation and real time systems [Software / systems testing and integration testing]
- Proficient in English Language and MS office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Railway signaling knowledge will be preferred.
- Basic Knowledge in C++, Phyton and Java languages
- Good knowledge of Linux and Linux terminal
- Basic knowledge of IBM RATIONAL DOORS is a plus
