Group Internal Auditor

Compensation: €65-75k basic plus bonus, pension, healthcare One of the world’s most successful and acquisitive PLCs is recruiting for a Group Internal Auditor. This role has arisen due to the predecessor taking on a FC role within one of the Irish divisions. This kind of progression is common within the Group, setting them apart from other companies. Previous members of the IA team have assumed lead finance positions across Ireland, North America, the UAE, and the UK. Most have progressed to these roles as senior stakeholders within 2 years of joining or with c.18 months PQE. For many, the travel element of this role is its biggest selling point as the team visits the USA, UK, and Europe. When not travelling, the team can work from home rather than being based in an office. Please note that a European passport is required for this position due to the nature of travel associated.

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes and reports on audits/reviews assigned by the Group Head of Internal Audit.
• Interprets policy and procedures and applies professional accounting, IT, and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate financial, IT, operational, and risk management controls.
• Develops recommendations which have been agreed with management ensuring that the recommendations are realistic, achievable, cost-effective, and add value to the business.
