Project Manager Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of complex rebranding and renovation projects for our hotel, ensuring alignment with the Property Improvements Plans. This role involves managing the project from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and delivery of renovations that meet required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and effective communication among stakeholders.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Regularly update senior management and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
  3. Quality and Compliance: Ensure all renovations meet hotel quality standards and brand requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  4. Budget and Cost Control: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability. Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports. Monitor and manage the change control process.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  6. Vendor and Contract Management: Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other vendors. Ensure vendor compliance with contract terms and performance standards. Review consultant/contractor submissions.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Track activities and progress of works on site. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, contracts, and correspondence. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to the Director of Projects and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, specifically in construction, hospitality renovation, rebranding projects, and fit-out experience.
  3. Previous work experience in Bahrain is required.
  4. Proficient in MS Office applications.
  5. Knowledge of handling project management software like Primavera.
  6. Knowledge of AutoCAD or any graphic software would be an advantage.
  7. Previous experience with Marriott International is a plus.
  8. PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
