Unit Assistive Personal - Eastern Province - Almoosa Specialist Hospital

Summary: Assist patients with daily activities, provide support and care, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
  • Assist with patient care, including bathing and changing positions.
  • Accompany patients to and from services, such as radiology and surgery.
  • Help patients ambulate and use the bathroom.
  • Respond to patient calls and inform nurses of any issues.
  • Transport patients between inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Transport blood and other samples to the laboratory.
  • Help feed patients and serve meal trays.
  • Inform visitors about visiting times.
  • Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Translate for non-Arabic staff as needed.
  • Transport medication between pharmacy and nursing units.
  • Perform other non-clinical duties as required.
Professional Expectations:
  • Practice within established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain infection control and safety awareness.
  • Report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager.
  • Participate in fire and disaster drills.
  • Use respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.
  • Attend department meetings and participate in unit activities.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate.
  • Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
Professional Experience:
  • Previous experience in a related healthcare or service role preferred.
Specialized Skills:
  • Ability to work extra hours.
  • Multi-tasking and good communication skills.
Competence:
  • Good command of Arabic and English preferred.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Able to read and follow instructions.
Required Attitude:
  • Ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds.
  • Empathy and emotional flexibility.
  • Flexibility to deal with various staff and patients.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients and staff.
