If you want to make an impact, to grow your experience, and to challenge your comfort zone, then join us at Qatar Airways Cargo and be part of our passionate team.As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo's Cargo Business Optimization Team in Doha as a Cargo Data Science Officer.In this role, you will be responsible for solving complex problems and building scalable models and algorithms that will be integrated into various tools or systems within Qatar Airways Cargo. You will also collaborate with key SPOCs within the departments to build value-added solutions.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Design, develop, and implement analytical techniques on large, complex structured and unstructured data sets to help the business make better decisions and identify hidden patterns in data across multiple systems.Implement statistical and data science techniques, such as hypothesis testing, machine learning, deep learning, and retrieval processes on large amounts of data to identify trends and relevant information.Develop models and data-driven solutions that enhance principal performance metrics and present insights back to executive management/internal department SPOCs to drive strategic improvement.Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to integrate data models with business solutions and stay updated on data science developments, news, opportunities, and challenges.Consult the Group's Data Protection Officer on matters related to data protection and privacy as appropriate, ensuring the confidentiality, security, and protection of all information handled in the course of duties.Your skills, imagination, and ambition are vital. You have the chance to be part of our future and build the life you want while being part of an international community.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of job-related experience.Excellent problem solver with strong knowledge in mathematics or business statistics.Hands-on experience in the development of models using statistical techniques.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English with excellent influencing capabilities.Preferred advanced analytics certification (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS).Experience with data analysis (SQL, R, Python, Scala, machine learning, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView).High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).Preferable knowledge of cloud platforms AWS and Azure.How to apply:If you're ready to join a progressive team and have a challenging and rewarding career, then apply now by uploading your CV and completing our quick application form.
