The ideal candidate for this position should have a broad technical skillset for the design, development, architecture, implementation, and support on end-to-end business applications with Appian BPM platform. Support Abby OCR technologies and MS SharePoint based document management system.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the differences between REST, JSON, SOAP and expert knowledge of design principles in integrating to Web Services.Work with business users to translate business requirements into technical designs to map and load data from Core banking, Middleware and other supporting systems.Build critical Appian based applications as well as associated integration components in Java.Develop applications in Appian business process management and integrate with other off-the-shelf products.Debug issues in Interfaces and Process Models.Provide technical level support for Appian platform and for critical business applications in Appian.Ensure services are delivered in line with the agreed service level targets.Identify and facilitate delivery of service improvements.Develop Appian objects, APIs, and integrations with other internal/external systems.Work on critical development, support, and enhancement requests, ensuring the availability, accessibility, and accuracy of the deliverables.Gather requirements and perform analysis. Design and develop technical solutions on the Appian BPM Suite based on the requirements gathered.Design integration requirements with other third-party platforms.Design Appian data models and define architectural & development standards for the project in adherence to Appian best practices.Prepare high-level technical specifications for the solutions.Perform frequent code reviews & ensure quality of the overall delivery.Lead User Acceptance Testing with business users.Perform impact analysis, application development, and application performance tuning.Support the provision of root cause analysis and associated problem ticket management.Provide second-level support for the resolution of incidents/problem tickets, ensuring timely closure of reported issues/tickets.Support the relevant phases of the change & release management process, adhering to delivery milestones and timelines.Proactively monitor batch jobs, transactional errors, dashboards, production reporting schedules, database, and server health.Provide support for Appian infrastructure like installation & configuration of Appian multi-node cluster, web servers, SAML integration with AD.Provide support for Abby OCR Technologies & document management system based on MS SharePoint.Manage Appian platform upgrades & patching.Manage ABBYY software patching and upgrade.Plan and test Appian Applications DR/BCP.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computers/applications, preferably Master's Degree or equivalent.At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Appian applications development, integration & support.Skills & Knowledge:Development of Appian objects, APIs, and integrations with other internal/external systems.Strong knowledge of Appian design patterns/process models and data level integrations.Appian Analyst and Appian Designer Level 2 or above certified.Hands-on experience on Appian 20+ versions.Knowledge of at least one major programming language.Specialization in functional area (BPM, deployment, etc.) in the banking domain.Sound knowledge/experience on PL/SQL, MS SQL Database to an extent to carry out the necessary application development and integration work.Agile/scrum development methodology using JIRA/OpenProject.Ability to scope Appian projects.Experience with multiple integrations with external systems.Strong working experience in architecture, development, related SDLC processes, excellent API, microservices, and database knowledge.
