IFRS Lead - Doha - Kintec Recruitment LimitedKintec Recruitment Limited DohaJob Purpose:Lead all aspects of technical accounting, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and guiding the implementation of new IFRSs and amendments. Review annual financial statements, advise on complex commercial transactions, and support the year-end statutory audit process to ensure compliance and minimize risk.Key Job Accountabilities:Coordinate year-end Statutory Financial Statements for group companies, acting as the focal point on statutory reporting matters with the external auditor. Communicate effectively and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Oversee year-end information requests for audit and financial statement disclosures, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.Advise on key financial statement disclosures, such as impairment, decommissioning, significant judgements, and liquidity risk. Enhance the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial reports. Oversee impact assessments and implementations of new and amended accounting standards, presenting outcomes to stakeholders.Review and develop technical accounting arguments to defend accounting positions in front of shareholders, internal and external audit. Ensure working papers are robust and defendable against applicable IFRS standards.Provide expert insights and interpretation on the accounting treatment of complex transactions, recommending practical solutions and presenting conclusions to key stakeholders. Lead comprehensive financial simulations to understand impact on bottom-line profitability.Collaborate with stakeholders to provide finance input into commercial agreements that impact joint venture companies. Lead collaboration with F&P stakeholders to understand system capabilities, identify gaps, and gain alignment.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting and an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification is mandatory.10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with 3 years in supervisory roles in finance.Experience in one of the Big Four in audit and IFRS.Managerial/senior managerial level or above in the Big Four.Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
