System Administrator

Position : System Administrator Employment Type : Permanent Payroll Company : Afizan Pte Ltd, Singapore Work Location : Client Site, Maxwell Road, Singapore Working Hours : 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM Interview Timeline : Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within two weeks of application. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $4,000 to $6,000 (commensurate with experience) Annual Salary Increment Yearly Performance Bonus Health Insurance 5G Smartphone with Plan Subsidized Training and Certifications Annual Leave: 14 days per year Sick Leave: 14 days per year Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to users, ensuring prompt issue resolution. Monitor and maintain the smooth operation of business support systems. Set up and provision new servers for ICT systems and websites. Perform system backups and manage antivirus protection. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system-related issues as they occur. Document changes, updates, and newly implemented processes accurately. Candidate Requirements General understanding of networking concepts. 7 to 10 years of experience in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). 5 to 8 years of experience managing File Servers, DHCP, and DNS. Familiarity with ITSM processes, including Configuration Item (CI) management, Change Management, and Incident Management. Ability to create or modify scripts using Python. Preference for candidates with a background in computer-related disciplines. A relevant degree or diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology. 2 to 5 years of experience in architecting Public or Private Cloud solutions. 5 to 8 years of experience managing AWS or Azure environments. 1 to 2 years of experience managing Public Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). 2 to 5 years of experience in Public Cloud migrations. Proficiency in SQL and database operations. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet critical deadlines. Willingness to work on-call or during weekends as necessary.
