Job SummaryThe AI Program Manager is responsible for guiding AI projects from inception to completion. The role involves managing the overall strategy, coordinating teams, ensuring technical quality, and aligning the project with organizational goals to ensure that AI initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes. The AI program manager is a subset of the broader program manager role but specifically for AI initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and timelines.Job ResponsibilitiesDefines AI project goals, sets timelines, and outlines deliverables. Creates detailed plans and schedules, oversees progress, and adjusts as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
Leads and oversees teams of data scientists, engineers, and designers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Manages resource allocation and provides necessary support for team members.
Serves as the main point of contact between stakeholders—executives, clients, and partners. Collects and prioritizes their requirements and expectations and provides regular updates and reports on the AI project's progress and results.
Ensures AI solutions are developed following best practices and organizational standards. Reviews technical specifications, oversees the development process, and addresses any technical challenges or issues that arise during the project.
Identifies potential risks and creates strategies to mitigate them. Monitors and addresses any issues that could affect project success, and ensures compliance with legal and ethical standards, especially concerning data privacy and AI fairness.
Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI projects, assesses project outcomes against these goals, and implements continuous improvement processes based on performance data.
Stays informed about the latest trends and advancements in AI and related technologies. Contributes to developing AI strategies and roadmaps and identifies opportunities to use AI for creating business value and driving innovation.Job Knowledge & SkillsKnowledge of AI technologies, machine learning, and data science principles. Understanding AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies is essential.
Proficiency in managing complex projects, including defining scopes, setting timelines, and ensuring successful delivery. Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum is often required.
Ability to use performance data to drive continuous improvement processes and enhance project outcomes.
Staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI to leverage new technologies and strategies for business value.
Experience in developing and managing budgets, and effectively securing and allocating resources, including technology and talent.
Skills to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers. This involves facilitating collaboration, providing support, and resolving conflicts.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members. This includes presenting technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is a requirement to be successful in this role.Job ExperienceMinimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.CompetenciesAccountability
