Located in the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha, within walking distance to Souq Waqif, Museum of Islamic Art and a short distance to the business district, West Bay.At Mandarin Oriental, Doha we welcome colleagues with the passion to deliver the best service and exceed our guest's expectations.Main ResponsibilitiesOversee all operational culinary aspects of the corresponding cuisine in his outlet and other related outlets as requiredCreate and maintain a great synergy between all stations in corresponding kitchen to assure maximum efficiencyWork closely with the Chef de Cuisine to create authentic dishes and suggest corresponding cuisine in promotional eventsEnsure plating guides are up to date and distributed appropriatelyEnsure that all plating guides are followed according to set dish description, cooking method and presentation imageEnsure that the corresponding cuisine is prepared in the most authentic way as per the standards set and agreed by the Chef de CuisineSupport to identify areas for improvement in food and beverage quality and report those to the Chef de CuisineEncourage proactive, efficient and effective inter-departmental communication within and beyond the Food and Beverage division in order to promote a climate of teamwork and enthusiasmResponsible for the ordering and requesting of corresponding ingredients on a daily basisProvide leadership, direction and support to all related colleagues at any timePrepare a weekly roster to schedule all colleagues effectively to maintain the standards of Mandarin Oriental while operating within budgeted labour cost guidelines and headcounts, depending on the business volumeOversee and follow through the food safety standards set by Mandarin Oriental Doha, Safe & Sound and through the local Qatar Municipality rules and regulationSupervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the corresponding section at all times and follow up accordingly on the produced reports to achieve an immaculate environmentEnsure that all corresponding cuisine displays are food safe, creative, clean and with attention to detail as per set standards by the Chef de CuisineEnsure that Mandarin Oriental, Doha grooming and appearance standards are implemented and maintained at all times to reflect an image of professionalism and careRequirementsHigh School qualification or equivalentDegree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary artsExperience as Junior Chef de Cuisine in a high volume restaurant with highest levels of service is preferredA minimum of 4 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel or free standing restaurant environmentIf you are interested in joining our team apply today!#J-18808-Ljbffr
