Candidates need to be able to work normal office hours of Geneva. This role is open for employees and contractors.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Create visual options for the upcoming Dashboard based on the concept note and through regular consultations with the teams. At least two sets of visual options expected and weekly meetings with the teams.
- Apply the design system standard to create UIs, including prototyping, wireframing, user flows, and mockups for the Foresight and Preparedness Dashboard.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear, actionable visualizations. Document weekly meetings with the foresight and preparedness teams and suggest adjustments to designs on a regular basis.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments. Take part in meetings with other units to receive feedback on the dashboard and suggest adjustments to designs on a regular basis.
- Link regularly with data engineers and analysts working on mapping data sources for foresight and preparedness to ensure integrity in all visualizations.
- Include all mapped strategic foresight and preparedness data into the Strategic Foresight and Preparedness Dashboard, developing compelling visuals.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- +9 years of IT experience.
- Experience with data visualization tools for data portal and data reports in web or similar.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Proficiency in UI/UX skills: Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Illustrator; basic understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
- Experience in designing wireframes and mock-ups for data visualization tools (e.g., Shiny, data portals, Power BI/Tableau or other dashboard tools). Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable visualizations.
- Fluent in English.
