About the Role: This is an amazing opportunity for a part-time fixed-term position (parental leave cover) for an Environmental Business Partner to join the Environment and Sustainability team based at our Christchurch office and reporting to the Chief Environment and Sustainability Officer. The hours for this role are negotiable between 25-30 hours per week. The Environmental Business Partner is responsible for providing support to the Ravensdown site management teams to implement, maintain and continually improve the environmental and risk management systems. You will take the lead on any relevant environmental risk projects. You will co-ordinate and lead planning and resource consent applications and compliance and Hazardous Substances requirements, ensuring that all legislation and national standards are adhered to. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all environmental monitoring and reporting programmes for Stores and/or Manufacturing sites
- Strategic environmental lead - ensuring all environmental aspects of wider projects are considered
- Lead, develop and maintain environmental programmes on site, ensuring that the site meets the company's targets within the environmental division
- Onsite contact for all external interested parties with environmental and hazardous substance queries including iwi and the public
- A relevant degree level qualification with at least 4 years' experience in environmental management, preferably in an industry setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the Resource Management Act (RMA) and associated National Policy and Environmental Standards
- Knowledge and experience of resource consent applications and implementation
- Risk management training and experience
- Project management and continuous improvement experience
- Ability to build credibility and strong relationships across all levels of the business
