IMPORTANT NOTE:Only Retired Army personnel may apply; other applicants will not be considered.A leading and well-known construction group requires the services of a smart, experienced, and enthusiastic freshlyretired Army Officerfor the position of Project Manager at its sites located in Bahria Town Rawalpindi to oversee and manage a variety of construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all construction procedures to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team of professionals.Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to determine project specifications and requirements.Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to ensure favorable and profitable agreements.Obtain permits and licenses from relevant authorities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Identify and allocate the necessary resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, while adhering to budget limitations.Develop a comprehensive construction plan, including scheduling intermediate phases to ensure project deadlines are met.Procure equipment and materials and monitor inventory to address any inadequacies in a timely manner.Recruit and hire contractors and other staff members, assigning responsibilities and providing guidance as needed.Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, and other construction personnel, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.Evaluate project progress, prepare detailed reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards on the construction site and report any issues that arise.Requirements and Skills:Proven experience as a construction project manager, demonstrating successful project delivery.In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety regulations in the construction industry.Proficiency in MS Office applications for project documentation and reporting.Familiarity with construction/project management software for efficient planning and organization.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.A team player with leadership qualities, capable of motivating and coordinating a multidisciplinary team.Master's degree in Project Management or a related field, along with a Bachelor's degree (BSc/BA) in engineering, building science, or a relevant field.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or 5 years of hands-on experience.If you meet the above requirements and are ready to take on the challenge of managing construction projects to successful completion, we would like to hear from you.
