Job Responsibilities:

Lead strategic infrastructure and facility planning for airside/airfield projects.
Manage the 20-year air traffic forecast update and secure executive approval.
Oversee Master Planning and Land Use Planning to guide long-term airport development.
Propose long-term capacity development solutions with cost-benefit analysis.
Collaborate with governmental and infrastructure partners to safeguard airspace, land use zoning, and optimize airport connectivity.

Functional:

Engage with stakeholders to assess current and future capacity needs for aircraft movements, passengers, and cargo.
Perform capacity-demand gap analysis and develop mitigation plans.
Manage fast-time simulations and oversee the development of airport layout plans using GIS and AutoCAD.
Lead the creation of project definitions, capital development evaluations, and master planning studies.
Guide the tendering process and oversee consultant deliverables, ensuring compliance with regulatory and design standards.

Budget Management:

Collaborate with Finance to ensure the financial feasibility of master plans and monitor project spending.

Corporate Performance Management:

Contribute to the Airport Planning Department's KPIs and divisional objectives.

People Management:

Lead and develop a team of planning professionals and consultants.
Build relationships with stakeholders, manage change, and ensure effective communication at all levels.

Requirements and Skills:

Proven expertise in airport planning and master planning for both small and large airports.
In-depth knowledge of ICAO, IATA, FAA standards, and other regulatory frameworks.
Proficient in airport planning, design, and simulation applications.
Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to integrate complex data, foresee long-term challenges, and deliver innovative solutions.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Airport Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
MBA with experience in Airport Planning or Project Management.

Experience:

10-12 years of senior management experience in airport planning, including both greenfield and brownfield developments.
Experience leading multicultural teams and understanding of the Middle Eastern business environment.
